Ugh, an article about 1 sentence he made in relation the question. In the actual source interview, gamesindustry.biz indicated that he was smiling when he made that comment. Obviously this entails sarcasm or some other reference rather than saying that they are 'literally' weak in that respect. (basically, he could be making fun of Sony or indicating that Microsoft doesn't have a problem marketing other features besides gaming) my 2 cents anyway.
This is not shocking actually. Considering the price of this game is equivalent to $90~ USD, some who are more cost conscious will think twice before purchasing the game. That, coupled with the change in the overall market (handheld focused market) will result in lower sales. However, that doesn't mean debuting at 1.5million copies sold is not impressive, especially for this current generation. Having lifetime sales of 3-4 million as I will expect with FF13, will undoubtedly be a good first e...
I am speechless. This game is all around polished and ready to suck my pockets dry of money.
Yeah...it's not going to be fun once the T.Hawk players come out and start doing 360's on me -.-
Great concept, flawed design unfortunately. Two things that will absolutely save this game (besides some better artwork/graphics) are if the AI is Ninja Gaiden or Demon's Souls difficult and if there is co-op play. But based on the preview, it seems we lucked out on the first point. Then again, this game will be coming in 2010, so hopefully (that is a lot of hope) the AI will be overhauled by the time the game comes out.
Awesome!! The first one was freaking hilarious. Time to see what happens to him now >:)
I'm not sure buying a console would solve the issues this article is referring to.
Um...if I'm not mistaken there's a picture of the sign that says a 150 minute wait in the article that is linked to this page. And, as I said above in response to your comment, the article points out that the majority of those waiting to play were American tourists. Instead of making accusations, can you please at least read what the article says?
**Not at all :), sorry, thought u were specifically referring to my comment from above. No ill will from this part...just misjudged th...
In the article, there's a picture of the line with a sign that says 150 followed by a few Japanese characters. I assume that means 150 minutes of wait time.
Well, at the same time, the article says the majority waiting in line were American tourists. And, swag was being given out (dunno about you, but swag is the most important thing at these events xD). It could also depend on the length of the ODST demo. When I was at PAX, I could never get my hands on the demo because the wait was so long. Also, the lines were decent, so it could just be the length.
**I'm not trying to put down ODST or anything, just judging from the description o...
What Sony should do, is to design a secondary peripheral that acts like the Nunchuk on the Wii. Sure it may be copying/cloning in some respects, but there is no other easy solution to seamlessly integrate this new Motion Controller with current gameplay. There is a rumor from vg247.com or something that says that Sony is researching a secondary device, but it came across as a 'no comment' from the SCE Studios President. Hopefully some more material evidence will show up by the time GDC rolls ...
Well, you are technically only seeing stills/screenshots of the game in this instance. As a result, you cannot observe things such as frames or screen tearing. But, if you played the demo you can clearly see that there are a few moments of frame stutters or screen tearing (the auto camera still needs some work too). For myself, it isn't much of a problem because I can still enjoy the game. For some it is a nightmare. But besides that point, certain things cannot be observed strictly through s...
I highly disagree. Kutaragi was the one who created most of the dilemmas in the beginning (some is speculation, some not so speculative). Hirai is here to fix and hopefully implement new strategies in order to rejuvenate the Sony Brand. And so far, it seems his tactics have worked. Selling 1 million PS3 slims in such a short amount of time is definitely a good start on that in my opinion.
Likewise. I honestly wish they would revamp the whole system and engine that they are currently using. The series could really use a new concept.
Of course when it comes down to the fine details it is marketing. That is the key to build hype and anticipation as well as more support for the product. It is the same thing with say an iphone type product or even a new console. They want to show that developers or what have you are supporting the product and it's potential (of course everything is potential). Also, you cannot say this an underhanded or copycat tactic because it is practiced by all companies. It is one of those fundamental t...
Well, if we are really technical, then MSFT already integrated Natal with Burnout Paradise. So, there is one example of the Natal integration. But, Natal was only recently produced (possibly a year or so) while the PSeye/wand theory was present for a while (since the PS2). As a result, we can see how games are more easily integrated with Sony's tech. But then again, they have really only shown off 2 games as well (RE5 and LBP). So both are in the early stages of work in all fairness. I suspec...
The teaser video showed a scene where a woman jumped off of the ledge of a building. There was a scene nearly identical to the one in the anime for Fist of the North Star.
Give me Hokuto no Ken now!!!!!!!
Judging from the previous interviews and comments made by the developers, they will maintain the current model of--pay for it once and everything after that is free.
That trailer was epic. Asura with the ability to command Golems? And the Charr with the ability to summon Effigies? I am there day 1, collector's edition. Give me moooooarrr Anet!!!!!
Hopefully we will see a price drop akin to the iPhone price drop after Apple realized that the selling point might be too high of a barrier for certain individuals/markets.
